If you were using Nessie before v1.4, your earlier data needs to be migrated into the new version.
During onboarding: New v1.4 users coming from v1.3 are offered the migration as part of onboarding. Accept the prompt and your v1.3 data is brought into the new app automatically.
If you skipped it: You can migrate at any time from Settings → Data Controls. Click Migrate v1.3 data to run the migration in one click. Your v1.3 contexts and folders will be imported into your current Nessie library.
What gets migrated: Your v1.3 notes (now called contexts) and folder organization are imported into your v1.4 library. Synced conversations are new in v1.4, so there's nothing to migrate on that front.
Notes:
- The migration is safe to re-run — it won't duplicate items that have already been imported
- If anything goes wrong during migration, you'll see an error message and can try again or contact us at founders@nessielabs.com
