Sharing with individuals

Personal sharing lets you give one existing Nessie user access without creating or joining a team. It is included with Plus, Pro, and Team.

What you can share directly

• Individual sessions — Share one AI conversation or agent session without exposing its parent integration, repository, or sibling sessions
• Contexts — Give one person Viewer or Editor access to a context
• Context folders — Share a whole folder and let its contexts and subfolders inherit access
• Integrations and repositories — Share a complete source or narrow a coding source to selected repositories

Share one session

1. In Library, right-click the conversation or agent session and choose Share; alternatively, open it and click Private or Share
2. Search for the recipient and choose Personal access
3. Save the personal access grant
4. Copy the private link and send it to the recipient

Only that session becomes readable. The recipient and their agents can read and search it, while the parent integration, repository, and sibling sessions remain private unless another grant covers them.

Share a context or folder

1. Select the context or folder in Library and open Private or Share
2. Search for the recipient and choose Personal access
3. Select Viewer or Editor
4. Save, then copy the private link when you want the recipient to open the exact item

Viewer access is read-only. Editor access lets the recipient collaborate on context Markdown, title, and emoji with live presence and synchronized edits.

Manage from the CLI

Use nessie sharing add --audience user --email person@example.com to grant an existing Nessie user personal access without a team. The CLI can also inspect and remove that direct grant. See the CLI reference for the complete commands and supported resource types.
